Curiosity Analyzes Atmospheric Composition of Mars

The Sample Analysis at Mars instrument suite on NASA Mars rover Curiosity has sniffed the Martian atmosphere and found clues to how the Red Planet lost much of its original atmosphere.

The photo mosaic shows the entire rover at "Rocknest," the spot in Gale Crater where the mission's first scoop sampling took place.
